Alfa Romeo Racing announced the arrival of Alessandro Alunni Bravi this morning. The Italian manager, formerly managing director of the Sauber Group, will take on the role of representative of the Formula 1 team but will also be team principal, going to the wall at all 23 events of the 2023 World Championship, replacing Frédéric Vasseur who has moved on to manage the Scuderia Ferrari.
Alunni Bravi’s role will be to represent the Hinwil team in all official functions during the race weekends off the track, but also on the track. In your new role you will report directly to Andreas Seidl, Chief Executive Officer of the Sauber Group.
Alunni Bravi will have to collaborate with the technical and operational departments to continue to grow the team while waiting for the partnership with Audi Sport to start from 2026.
According to what emerged from the official press release of the Swiss team, the assumption of the role in question by Alunni Bravi will allow Andreas Seidl to concentrate on preparing for the future, which will be in Audi colors.
