A brand new adventure awaits Juan Manuel Correa for 2022, where he will be involved in the European Le Mans Series.
Back to racing after the terrible accident of 2019 in which he was an unfortunate protagonist at Spa-Francorchamps in Formula 2, the 22-year-old has reached an agreement with Prema Racing for his debut in the world of prototypes.
The Ecuadorian-American will drive the Oreca 07-Gibson LMP2 managed by the Italian team, which had followed him a few years ago when he landed in Formula 4.

“I am excited to return to Prema for a completely different championship than usual for me – said Correa, who will combine this program with that of FIA F3 – Endurance races are a discipline that has always interested me, and what better way to do the my debut except with a team that I consider like a family. “
“It will be a busy season for me with a double program between F3 and ELMS, but I can’t wait to get started! A big thank you to the team and my partners for this opportunity.”
Team principal, Rene Rosin, added: “We cannot express how happy we are to welcome Juan Manuel back to our team. We were thrilled to be working with him at the beginning of his career.”
“He is both a great driver and a fun guy, and we have been deeply inspired by what he has accomplished over the past two years. We are sure he will adapt quickly to the new driving style, it is a good starting point for the season.”
