That’s why we have prepared a weekly menu that brings together recipes and products from different parts of the world, from Europe to Asia, to calm our traveling spirit until the next vacation arrives. As usual, in this compilation of starters, main courses and desserts, the recipes are simple and the products are seasonal.
Monday May 13
FIRST: PEAS CREAM WITH MINT OIL AND MOZZARELLA
Some good frozen peas will be the base for this comforting cream, whose flavor is intensified thanks to the previously browned leek. A fresh mint oil and a little creamy cheese finish the game.
SECOND: CORONATION CHICKEN
“Coronation chicken” was an elaborate dish invented for the coronation of the Queen of England in 1953. Its ingredients have been simplified over the years, but it is still a good salad.
DESSERT: BAYONESIES
Two layers of puff pastry, an angel hair filling and a few minutes in the oven are all you need to prepare a delicacy whose result only depends on the quality of the ingredients.

Tuesday May 14
FIRST: THE SIMPLE ARTICHOKES EVER
Don’t you know how to peel artichokes or do you have trouble doing it? The microwave is once again the secret weapon to cook this vegetable with maximum speed, minimal effort and excellent results.
SECOND: MUSTACHE PASTE
Some will see it as old-fashioned to put cream in a tomato sauce. It doesn’t matter to us: the ‘penne al baffo’ prove that the mixture works. Our version updates and lightens the classic eighties formula.

DESSERT: SEASONAL FRUIT: STRAWBERRIES
If you only think of eating them alone or with yogurt, you are missing out on many of their possibilities.
Wednesday, May 15
FIRST: GRILLED BUDS ASIAN STYLE
The buds can not only be eaten in a salad and with anchovies: cooked on the grill or charcoal and accompanied by a good vinaigrette, they can give us a lot of joy.
SECOND: ROASTED BEETS AND CARROTS WITH LABNEH AND SPICY CHICKPEAS
Both vegetables gain extra flavor, texture and color when you roast them. Since the oven is on, we add some spiced chickpeas in the last few minutes that finish off a classy dish.
DESSERT: RASPBERRY, BLUEBERRY AND STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE
A good way to drink seasonal fruit that you can tune with cookies, nuts, spices, other red fruits or whatever you fancy.

Thursday May 16
FIRST: COLD CREAM OF SPINACH, PINE NOVES AND YOGURT
A minimalist cold cream for which you will not need time, effort, or brain. You can replace the pine nuts with croutons, diced ham, chopped boiled egg or the topping that you like the most.
SECOND: SICILIAN STUFFED SARDINES
The Sicilian popular classes gave a twist to the favorite dish of the nobility, taking advantage of the similarity of the tail of a sardine with that of the orioles in the original recipe.
![They are not orthopendoles, nor do they need to be](https://imagenes.elpais.com/resizer/v2/MSWEXSDPGBP75BQTV4RT4HXDSY.jpg?auth=cae7516a7ad71786eb129b680ee7f780933e03603cd9457c107f442ddbfcafe5&width=414)
DESSERT: SEASONAL FRUIT: CHERRIES
Cherries are in season and at El Comidista we celebrate it by getting warm with them. But if you click on the link you will see several recipes in case you get bored of eating them alone.
Friday, May 17
FIRST: CARPACCIO OF PRAWNS
You can prepare this carpaccio starting from already peeled shrimp, but if you buy them wisely, don’t hesitate to prepare an American sauce and use it in the vinaigrette: it will give it an extra, sexy power flavor.
![The texture of those shrimp is from another world.](https://imagenes.elpais.com/resizer/v2/VDC4L7EZ2ZOZDPSMTQ6OFFV754.jpg?auth=00da14a79dba40dda68e1a111bbbc176bdffafafc587275d5ce84e3346d304f9&width=414)
SECOND: POTATO AND PEAS PAKORAS
A chickpea flour dough that is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside in which we can use any seasonal vegetables. Plus a fresh yogurt and cucumber sauce to dip like there’s no tomorrow.
DESSERT: APRICOT AND KEFIR CREPES
Crepes don’t have to be a tribute to gochismo: you can also use fruit for the filling. Here we combine the flavor of homemade apricot jam with the acidity of kefir.
Saturday May 18
MAIN DISH: TORTELLONI STUFFED WITH RICOTTA AND PARSLEY WITH BUTTER AND SAGE
If you like fresh pasta and you dare to use your hands, this recipe with ricotta and parsley will take you to a level of pleasure that can make you cry.

DESSERT: SEASONAL FRUIT: APRICOTS
It is related to the peach and plum, it has very few calories, and a good amount of fiber that makes it a fairly satiating fruit.
Sunday May 19
MAIN DISH: ROSBIF SNACK
Take the beef off the plate, put it between two pieces of bread and spread a little cheese on top. It can only improve with mustard mayonnaise and some pickles.
DESSERT: SWEET MILK MOUSSE
Dulce de leche is almost omnipresent in Argentine pastries, and we find it in desserts such as alfajores, pancakes or chocotortas. In this simple recipe, its sweetness comes with a silky texture.

The weekend drink
MEDITERRANI COCKTAIL
It tastes like a fantastic mix of basil, citrus and liqueur reminiscent of some kind of candy. At the same time, it is not cloying at all and is very fresh, thanks to the botanicals in the gin -rosemary, thyme, olive- and the lemonade.
