The German ski racer Lena Dürr has become a strong third in the slalom of Courchevel and got momentum for the upcoming World Cup. In the second round, the 33-year-old drove from eighth place onto the podium and could have even become second without a small driving error. Dürr seemed to be annoyed at the finish line, the second -placed Swedish Sara Hector was only two hundredths of a second. After all, Dürr succeeded in the third podium in this World Cup winter-the 33-year-old is one of the top candidates on precious metal at the World Cups in Saalbach-Hinterglemm next week.
As a tenth, Mikaela Shiffrin clearly missed a comeback coup and a historical record of 100 World Cup victories. The American exceptional athlete had returned for the night event in France after several weeks of injury. As a fifth after the first run, she got unusual problems in the second round and fell back in the classification.
Emma Aicher left after a driving error in the first round. The other German starters Jessica Hilzinger and Roni Remme did not make it into the second run in places 31 and 35.
