The activities of the fourth session of the Urology Specialties Forum were launched, which is organized by the Emirates Urological Association and the Arab School of Urology in cooperation with INDEX to organize conferences and exhibitions. It is held over two days, with the participation of prominent international doctors and lecturers under the slogan “The post-treatment stage… encouraging creativity.” “Innovation in Therapeutic Technology,” which highlights methods of diagnosing and treating urinary tract diseases with artificial intelligence, in addition to the use of virtual reality and augmented reality in education and training instead of traditional methods.
The forum discussed the importance of employing artificial intelligence in various fields of life and medical care in all its specialties, and using virtual and augmented reality in training, education and research instead of traditional means to develop research and advanced technologies to improve health care provided to patients.
The co-chair of the forum and president of the Emirates Urology and Urology Society, Dr. Abdul Qadir Al Zarouni, said: “The forum represents a space for exchanging knowledge between experts in the field of health care, as it brings together various medical specialties to achieve a common goal, which is improving patient care in the field of urology. The forum encourages young doctors specialized in this field and trainees to engage in working on scientific research and publishing it by inviting them to participate in a competition in which participants present their work for evaluation, in order to enhance the culture of innovation. The forum is expected to attract about 800 visitors and participants from 20 countries around the world, in the presence of more than 76 specialized speakers from elite doctors in various fields, which reflects the leading global position of the UAE in the fields concerned with quality of life, health services, and the use of advanced technology in medical care in all its fields. The health sector in the country continues to develop and provides the highest quality services to patients by providing the latest in integrated medical care technologies.
The forum is accompanied by an exhibition that displays the latest technologies and products of leading companies in the field of urology and gives participants the opportunity to communicate with exhibitors and learn about the latest technologies used in the field.

The forum’s agenda included 8 scientific sessions, including presentations, discussion sessions, and 7 workshops dealing with the latest scientific findings in the treatment of microscopic hematuria, laser ureteral strictures, and skin lesions of the reproductive organs, and discussion of many cases that extend from the treatment of stones to bladder syndromes. Treatment methods will also be highlighted, such as robotic surgery, treatment of urinary tract infections during pregnancy, developments in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, genetic testing in male infertility, and the evolutionary approach to prostate cancer management, with a focus on a comprehensive vision of urological care, in addition to encouraging graduates to Research and publishing in this field.
