The governor Delfina Gomez Alvarez has announced important appointments in his cabinet, highlighting the appointment of Lieutenant Colonel Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo as the new head of the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico.
This strategic move seeks to reinforce security in the entity, relying on the vast military and administrative experience of Castaneda Camarillo.
In a ceremony held in the Governors Hall, teacher Delfina Gómez urged the new officials to work together to continue the transformation of the State of Mexico.
Lieutenant Colonel Cristóbal Castañeda Camarillo, with more than 30 years of professional experience and a solid academic background that includes a bachelor’s degree in Military Administration, master’s degrees in Naval Administration and Business Administration, and doctoral studies in Public Security and Political Science, is the central figure in this security strategy.
Castañeda Camarillo has played key roles in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and in the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena), where he has been recognized for his achievements and leadership capacity.
His experience and training position him as the ideal candidate to assume high-level security responsibilities in the State of Mexico.
Strengthening public administration
The governor of the State of Mexico also appointed Fátima Orquídea Olivares Torres as undersecretary of Culture.
Olivares Torres, with a bachelor’s degree in Education and Master’s studies in Public Administration, has had an outstanding career in the educational field, serving in roles as School Safety Coordinator and National Coordinator of Education for Excellence in the Ministry of Public Education (SEP). ).
Ricardo López Avendaño, who takes over as Deputy Secretary of Administration and Finance of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTI), has a master’s degree in Administration and Public Policy and a solid track record at the state and federal levels.
His experience in various federal ministries supports his ability to efficiently manage the resources and administration of the SECTI.
Digital and sports innovation
David Villanueva Lomelí has been appointed head of the Digital Agency of the State of Mexico.
With a doctorate in Public Administration and postdoctoral studies in Administration, Public Policy and Higher Education, Villanueva Lomelí has been a consultant in Accountability and Auditing, and has held relevant positions as Senior Auditor of the State of Puebla.
Manuel Sotomayor Landecho, appointed general director of Physical Culture and Sports, has a master’s degree in Sustainability and Social Responsibility and a notable sports career as a national swimming team.
He has been the creator of the Elite Program for high-performance athletes, which makes it an excellent choice to promote sports and physical activity in the State of Mexico.
Improving medical services
Ulises Loyola García will assume the direction of the ISSEMYM Toluca Medical Center. With a bachelor’s degree in General Medicine, specializing in General and Trauma Surgery, and a master’s degree in Clinical Research, he has been deputy medical director of the same center since 2014.
Their experience and knowledge will be key to improving the quality of medical services offered to ISSEMYM beneficiaries.
The governor has highlighted the importance of working as a team to achieve the objectives set and continue improving the quality of life of the people of Mexico.
