Gabriel Amatangelo, or the co-director of Cyberpunk 2077stated in an interview with Game File that the sci-fi game released in 2020 is now complete and that the team finished working on it. At the same time, it doesn't totally eliminate the possibility of making some other minor updates.
Amatangelo says: “We are done. But it is possible that there is a few other little things that can be added here or there, just because as you're testing with things, sometimes you discover something that's not too risky to put in there. Or it's easy to integrate. Or, you know, some developers have the time and the ability.”
We shouldn't so you have high hopes for new updates, but you never can tell.
Cyberpunk 2077, a long journey
Let's remember that Cyberpunk 2077 was released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One (as well as on the now dead Stadia) in December 2020. Since launch there have been various technical problems, with the console versions practically unplayable and certainly well below expectations.
The development team spent about a year and a half making updates for Cyberpunk 2077, subsequently also publishing the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versionswhich received the Phantom Liberty expansion with the PC (not available on PS4 and Xbox One).
CD Projekt RED is now working on various games, including the upcoming The Witcher.
