Former president went to the Festa do Peão in Americana (SP); he said that the agribusiness “misses” him and went on the main stage alongside Tarcísio
The former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said that rodeos do not involve animal abuse and that bulls “There’s even a manicure”. The speech took place during the former chief executive’s visit to the Festa do Peão in Americana, in the interior of São Paulo.
Bolsonaro went to the event accompanied by the state governor, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), on June 14th. They went up to the main stage and Bolsonaro rode a horse on the competition track, which included bull riding.
The former chief executive denied that the events involved mistreatment of animals and that, due to their high value, they receive a series of care. “In some cases [os touros] There’s even a manicure, the bull that equals a fortune can’t help but be well treated. Nobody mistreats animals here”, he told Leo Dias Portal.
Bolsonaro was received by agricultural businessmen and said that they have “longing” mutual. “I have always been on the side of agriculture, I have always facilitated what I could to better produce and they treat me very well. They miss me so much and I miss them“, he said.
Agenda in São Paulo
Bolsonaro went to a series of events in the capital and in the interior of São Paulo. He had lunch with the mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB), Tarcísio and former police officer Ricardo Mello Araújo – the former president’s nominee to be Nunes’ vice-president in this year’s elections.
During the afternoon, he went to the inauguration of a veterinary hospital in Santa Bárbara D’Oeste and the inauguration of a medical specialty center in Americana, before going to the Festa do Peão.
