Betting | Investor Aki Pyysing made a giant bet against Leijon – Veikkaus’ system saved a thousand euros from a loss

Temptation got too big. When Mikael Granlund got suspended for his dirty trick in the Switzerland match, matured Aki in Pyysing clear idea: no need to wait, Sweden wins.

Investor and poker professional Pyysing said on Thursday in X that he bet a handsome 4,020 euros on behalf of Sweden.

However, all the fuss was wasted, because Pyysing bet on Sweden’s victory precisely in the actual game time. Sweden won the match 2–1, but only in extra time.

“Yes, this happened. I am not an active sports bettor. This was my second hockey bet this millennium, as far as I can remember. The previous one was for SaiPan’s bronze medal match (2014). That too went into the notebook!” Pyysing laughs.

The match of the Ice Hockey World Championships was under the command of Sweden. Pyysing says he doesn’t regret his move.

“I only bet if the expected value of the win is very high. I had watched Finland’s games and when Granlund was still suspended, I thought that Sweden would win three times out of four. A bit of a shaky assessment, but the game showed that the bet was accurate compared to the expected value”, continues Pyysing.

Conqueror investor says that he placed four bets worth 1,000 euros and one 20-euro bet.

Why the 20 euro bet?

“I put that money into the account to create Veikkaus’ game account at one time. I wanted to watch poker broadcasts on Veikkaus-tv, and it’s not possible without money in the cash register.”

In total, Pyysing transferred 5,000 euros to the game account for the Sweden bet, but the limit was met at four tons. Pyysing isn’t entirely sure why he couldn’t make more bets, but it was something else.

“Veikkaus’ system saved me a thousand euros,” he says and laughs.

Losing money doesn’t hurt. He reminds that he was still on Finland’s side in the game.

According to his own words, the “chilling” poker professional reminds us that playing should be approached calmly and realistically. There will be losses.

“You have to approach it like poker: play your game as well as possible and approach the results calmly. If Finland had dominated yesterday’s game, I would disagree!”

Of the rest like sports, Pyysing bets more actively and with even bigger bets. He has told in X and confirms to the editors that he has placed a bet of a total of 27,500 euros on the upcoming British elections on behalf of the Labor majority.
