A 27-year-old young man has died at the Regional Hospital of Malaga after jumping from one window to another in his house because he had forgotten his keys inside his room. The victim fell from the fourth floor in a building in Fuengirola and, although he was evacuated alive, he died in the ICU.
The emergency services received the first call alerting of the event at 9:45 a.m. this Wednesday, April 17. The young man had fallen down the elevator shaft of a building located on Francisco Merino Street, in Fuengirola.
From those around the victim, they stated that the boy forgot his keys inside his room and jumped from the kitchen window of his home to try to access the room. However, he did not succeed and fell from the fourth floor. The National Police has confirmed that the accident occurred in this way.
The victim fell down the building's elevator shaft and suffered multiple fractures. He was evacuated in very serious condition to the Regional Hospital, where he entered directly into the ICU. A friend told this newspaper that he died this Thursday and that he is an organ donor.
His friends are organizing a fundraiser through social networks to repatriate at least his ashes, since the young man, who is of Colombian origin, had no family in Spain. Apparently, he had arrived in the country approximately a year and a half ago to look for work.
