Russian Embassy: Indonesia agrees to open a Russian consulate in Bali
Indonesia has agreed to open a Russian consulate on the resort island of Bali, which has become one of the most popular holiday destinations among Russians. This is reported by RIA News with reference to the Russian Embassy.
As the diplomatic mission noted, the Russian side received consent in principle from the Indonesian authorities. Now we are coordinating technical issues.
From February 14, Bali introduced a new tax for tourists, the amount of which is 9.5 dollars (866 rubles) per person. According to the tour operator Space Travel, payment can be made in two ways – online through a special application or in cash or by card at Denpasar airport. However, payments from UnionPay cards will not be accepted.
