A 26-year-old young man has turned out seriously injured this Monday in Madrid after being stabbed in the Ciudad Lineal district. The National Police has opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances under which the attack occurred and find the perpetrator or alleged perpetrators. At the moment there are no incidents and the injured man, who has not collaborated with the agents investigating the case, is “out of danger.”
As reported to this newspaper by spokespersons for the National Police and Madrid Emergency Police, the events occurred around 8:20 p.m. on Monday in the middle of the street, at number 10 Virgen del Sagrario street.
The emergency services, who went to the scene alerted by a brawl, found the victim “in the middle of the sidewalk” with several stab wounds. The most serious, “very ugly and penetrating,” was suffered in the abdomen, while the rest, milder, were in one arm and the chest. She suffered from a “possible perforation of the gastric chamber and intestine,” a Samur health worker explains in a video.
The Samur-Civil Protection paramedics have stabilized him and transferred him in very serious condition to the Gregorio Marañón hospital, escorted by Municipal Police patrols. There, he “has been operated on and is out of danger.” The Police have detailed that the victim, an Ecuadorian national and born in 1998, has not collaborated with the agents and has not given clues about her possible aggressor or aggressors. “She hasn’t said anything.” At the moment, the investigation is open and there are no arrests.
