Twitter announced this week that bot accounts will be able to receive a new label, which will help to more easily identify interactions carried out with this type of profile on the platform.
Twitter bot identification tags began testing in September last year and have now been released to everyone with the details. The humans responsible for the account and the purpose of that profile are some of the details displayed.

The estimate is that the feature will bring greater transparency and reliability, allowing the Internet user to identify whether an account is a bot or not. With the data shown by the tool, people will have more information to decide which accounts to follow and which to engage with.
According to TecMundo, the new automated Twitter account tags are optional. When the bot admin chooses to add the feature, the label will appear on the bot’s profile page, just below the name and identifier.
The label will also be shown on all tweets made by that account, featuring a robot picture next to the word ‘Automatic’. Bad examples of bots, such as those spreading spam and misinformation, will not receive this Twitter flag.
