Mexico.- The coordinator of Morena, in the Senate of the RepublicRicardo Monreal ruled out that the different parliamentary groups in the upper house have reached a consensus on the Federal Law for the Regulation of Psychoactive Cannabis.
This statement by the president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), comes after Senator Sylvana Beltrones of the PRI reported that a prediction on the regulation of these substances is already circulating.
In this sense, the morenista, Ricardo Monreal backed down that opinion and affirmed that it is not approved or agreed upon by the different parliamentary groups in the Senate of the Republic.
“Don’t worry, we are not going to rush and the opinion, it is a prediction, it has not yet been approved by the commissions… It is not agreed upon, it is not ruled at this time nor does it have the endorsement of the parliamentary groups”, Ricardo Monreal said.
The Morena coordinator reiterated that a hasty decision will not be made and assured that the draft opinion will not be turned over to the corresponding commissions if it is not agreed upon by the parliamentary groups.
