Muscovite’s Lion Cub Taken Away While Walking Around the City
A lion cub was taken from a man in Moscow while he was out for a walk. This is about reports The official Telegram channel of the capital’s Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection.
A passerby noticed a small predator near a cafe in the center of the capital. He was very surprised and called the police. The law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene asked the owner for documents for the animal, but they were not there. As a result, the police took the lion cub from the Muscovite right from his walk.
The pet was transferred to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of the Department of Nature Management. The lion cub is about 1.5 months old. He is currently in the quarantine block, where he is provided with appropriate care, food and maintenance.
Lions are dangerous predators that are on the list of animals prohibited from being kept. In addition, they are protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
