Mediocredito Centrale invests 10 million in QuattroR MidCap fund
Mediocredito Centrale strengthens its activity in support of small and medium-sized enterprises and invests 10 million euros in the private equity fund QuattroR Midcap. Together with the other banks of the Group – BdM Banca and Cassa di Risparmio di Orvieto – MCC will be able to contribute to the development of QuattroR’s initiatives
MidCap, with particular attention to companies in the South. The fund, managed by QuattroR, is specialized in supporting the development of Italian manufacturing excellence in strategic sectors of the economy.mainly through capital increases. In particular, it acquires majority or co-controlling stakes in companies in the MidSmall segment (turnover above 50 million euros) with solid industrial fundamentals with the aim of providing the financial resources necessary for reorganization, relaunch and growth operations, also through the improvement of ESG performance.
“We decided to join the QuattroR Midcap fund because it is a tool that allows us to support the growth of the real economy. In this way, we will also be able to offer our support for the origination of operations and for the additional financing of the investee companies”, commented the CEO of Mediocredito Centrale, Francesco Minotti. “The partnership with QuattroR SGR is strategic for us because, on the one hand, it allows us to bring investments to the South and, on the other, it allows us to take a further step towards the creation of the Southern Financial District, of which we want to be increasingly protagonists and an aggregating body, collaborating with all the actors who operate in those territories”.
