French elections polls, the Rassemblement National in the lead with 32%
According to a new survey conducted by Opinionway for Cnews, Europe 1 and JDD, the Rassemblement National (RN) would be first in the French legislative elections with 32% of the votes. Behind, the left-wing alliance could obtain 25% of the votes, increasing its score by two points compared to the previous survey carried out on Monday. In third place, the presidential majority would garner 19% of the votes. The Republicans would get to 9% and Reconquete to 4%.
Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen makes it known that she will not ask for Emmanuel Macron’s resignation if he wins the legislative elections. The promise appears today in Le Figaro. And obviously all this in the event of Rassemblement National’s victory in the legislative elections, called by Macron himself after the results of the European elections. “I am respectful of the institutions, I do not ask for institutional chaos, there will simply be coexistence”, promises Le Pen who defines the New Popular Front “an abomination for the country”, evidently recognizing the first real obstacle for her and her party which has found itself ahead in recent months of growth in the polls. In fact, faced with the wave of the far right, the French left-wing parties in a few hours have composed what they have failed to do for years: a new alliance with which to present themselves at the early legislative elections of 30 June and 7 July called by President Macron .
“It is obvious that the abomination for the country is Nupes 2 which is worse than Nupes 1”, attacks Le Pen, outgoing MP from Pas-de-Calais (which although it was the cradle of French socialism, has voted for her in recent years ) and former presidential candidate for RN, always defeated so far. As for the newborn Popular Front, it rises from the ashes of Nupes, the union with which the same progressive parties presented themselves at the polls in 2022. A coalition that later ended up shattered due to profound differences that arose in particular due to the controversial leader of the more radical France Insoumise, Jean-Luc Melenchon, who however returned to the limelight by proposing himself as a candidate for prime minister. Le Pen attacks the entire front however, speaking of “Islamo-leftism” which “almost without hesitation supports the disappearance of all our freedoms. The first of all is that of being French and of gaining some advantage from it”.
