TASS: Russian soldiers are more effective at destroying Baba Yaga drones using thermal imagers
Russian soldiers, using thermal imagers, have become more effective at destroying Ukrainian Baba Yaga drones at night. Told about this TASS General Director of the company “PPSh Laboratory” Denis Oslomenko.
According to him, these drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) cannot be suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) means, since they “fly on Starlink.” The agency’s interlocutor explained that Baba Yaga can only be shot down with small arms and a thermal imaging sight. “But looking through a thermal imaging scope with one eye and searching is very inconvenient. Therefore, thermal imaging sights with screens actually help fighters a lot – they install them on machine guns, PKMs (modernized Kalashnikov machine guns – approx. “Tapes ru”) and put them on ATVs and knock them down,” Oslomenko noted.
Previously, the PPSh Laboratory announced that it was adapting night sights to combat sea drones. According to the head of the company, the sights will make it possible to detect targets at a distance of more than a kilometer.
