Contact established with Iranian President Raisi’s helicopter passenger
The exact location of the crash of the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has been established. This was announced by the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the province of East Azerbaijan.
He clarified that a signal had been received from the crash site.
IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami and several other commanders are in the area of the helicopter crash and are holding an emergency crisis management meeting with local authorities.

Vice President of the Islamic Republic for Executive Affairs Mohsen Mansouri said that several times it was possible to contact the people who were in the crashed helicopter.

It later turned out that it was possible to contact the Friday imam of the Tabriz mosque, Sayed Mohammad-Ali al-Hashem, who was in the helicopter. He reported that he did not feel well and said that he could hear the sounds of cars and ambulances.
There is no additional information about the condition of other crew members and passengers.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei addressed his fellow citizens. In his address, he tried to reassure the Iranians, assuring them that they should not worry about possible irregularities in the governance of the country. “We hope that Almighty God will return the dear President and his colleagues in full health to the arms of the nation,” Khamenei said, urging the public not to worry.
A number of countries have offered to help Iran find
Türkiye, at the request of Iran, sent 32 climbers to search for the helicopter that made a hard landing. In addition to people, six helicopters with night vision devices will be involved in the search operation. Three more search and rescue groups of climbers of 15 people each are ready to go to Iran at any moment.

Moscow also responded to the emergency. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Russia hopes for a successful outcome and is ready to provide all necessary assistance in searching and investigating the causes of the crash.
The European Union used its satellites to assist Tehran in the search. European Commissioner Janez Lenarcic, who oversees emergency response issues at the European Commission, spoke about the activation of the Copernicus satellite monitoring system for the Earth’s surface.
It became known that Tel Aviv, through non-public channels, denied any connection with the Raisi helicopter crash. However, official Israel does not comment on what happened.
