The major streets, main roads, and landmarks of the Kingdom of Bahrain were decorated with the flags of sisterly Arab countries and pictures of leaders, in a scene that reflects Arab unity and solidarity in its finest form, in celebration and welcome of the Kingdom’s hosting of the Arab Summit, scheduled for Thursday, May 16 of this year.
The banners were written with phrases including: “Welcome to the guests of His Majesty the King in the land of Arabism and peace – the Bahrain Summit,” and “Bahrain is the home of the Arabs.”
Large pictures were also hung on the sides of some roads, each bearing a picture of an Arab leader next to a picture of the King of Bahrain, and the phrase, “Welcome to the leaders of the nation in Bahrain of Arabism.”
The summit’s media center has completed its preparations to facilitate the work of media professionals, by providing them with all necessary logistical and technical services and enriching the content of their media coverage in a manner commensurate with the importance of the event and the broad media presence.
Bahrain’s hosting of the Arab Summit enjoys wide Arab appreciation, given the approach the Kingdom has adopted based on supporting peace and stability and enhancing cooperation. Its foreign policy is also characterized by balance and rationality, and has appreciated roles and efforts in supporting joint Arab action.
