Amidst the heavy rains in Rio Grande do Sul, the National Confederation of Insurance Companies (CNseg) recommends to its members operating in the State to extend the expiration date of invoices for insurance contracts in all segments whose payment deadline occurs between the 1st and 10th of May.
According to CNeg, the recommendation is a way to minimize the impacts of the tragedy in the Rio Grande do Sul region.
The Confederation also suggests that insurance companies evaluate the temporary extension of contracts that end in the period between the 1st and the 10th of this month, as a way of reducing citizens’ losses.
The idea is to allow the insured assets to remain covered within previously agreed conditions. “Both measures must be implemented without any prejudice to the fulfillment of contract coverage”, he mentions.
