Emergency blackouts continue for the third day in Kyiv. This was reported on December 21 by the press service of the Ukrainian energy company DTEK.
So, schedules of planned outages of electricity are temporarily not working in the city. A similar situation occurs in Dnepropetrovsk (the Ukrainian name is Dnepr). It is noted that such measures are necessary to prevent accidents.
On the eve of the mayor of Krivoy Rog Alexander Vilkul also reported that emergency, emergency and rolling blackouts are possible in the city.
On December 19, Ivan Plachkov, the country’s former fuel and energy minister, said that the situation in Ukraine’s energy system remains “very critical.” Ukrenergo also admitted that the situation in the country’s energy system is difficult.
In October, Russian troops began to strike at military command, energy and communications facilities in Ukraine. As Russian President Vladimir Putin explained, this was a response to the terrorist actions of the Kyiv regime, in particular on the Crimean bridge.
At the same time, there was no official information from the Russian Ministry of Defense about the latest strikes announced by the Ukrainian side. In addition, the military department has repeatedly emphasized that strikes are only carried out on military or related facilities.
The special operation to defend Donbass, which Putin announced on February 24, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
