We often assume that ignoring what we sow, we will reap what we want. The farmer’s wisdom has taught us that whoever sows wheat reaps wheat, and whoever wishes to harvest corn will sow corn. At what point do we begin to believe that by sowing discord we will reap harmony?
In our homeland, never like now, we are sowing hatred, confrontations, discrimination, intolerance and it seems that we pretend to ignore that what we will reap will not be a good life.
Enough of believing that we live in the world of fantasy and impunity that we have created, let’s face reality and assume our responsibility.
Mexico is not a product of chance, it is the result of our doing.
We are responsible for what we have created, not only with our actions, but also with our omissions.
Thinking about Mexico is thinking about the present and the future of those who have placed their trust in us with the certainty that we will bring them to a successful conclusion, I mean our infants.
Thinking of Mexico is assuming our civic responsibility, taking off the blindfold and thinking twice about what we write in the book of our lives.
Thinking about Mexico is to shake off our drowsiness, to move away from the nebulous narrative that distances us from reality and prevents us from objectively analyzing where the real events of the national panorama are taking us.
Let’s stop seeing the carrot in front of us to try to visualize the horizon towards where the path we are following leads us, because we are responsible for it and tomorrow, it will be useless to find someone to blame.
Let’s do today for Mexico what we want tomorrow to be. Let’s sow today what we want to reap in the future. Excuses abound.
For a dignified and united Mexico, let’s make a pact.
Thank you.
