Behind them a pilot who needs no introduction, his curriculum speaks for itself, Vito “Chico” Postiglione who followed the boys throughout the season. In the end, with the discard game, they won the crown with a one-point lead over Piccioli.
A challenge, the one just concluded at the wheel of the Ferrari 488 of Easy Race, full of twists and turns and a decidedly valuable parterre, and the numbers are the confirmation.
“My passion for motorsport comes directly from my father. I arrived for the first time at the Misano racetrack, where Vito was racing with a Porsche. From there the spark was taken that made me start with karting, a discipline that I followed for seven years from karting with the X30 Junior to then move on to senior”, says Mazzola speaking with Motorsport.com.
“At the age of fifteen, he made the move to the car with his debut in the Italian Prototype Championship. An important step, after karts, the move to F4 was prohibitive, so the debut with the Wolf GB 08 Thunder. A good season, where I awarded the Rookie title and fifth place in the overall”.
“Together with Vito we decided to try the 488 Challenge, another big step and love started. Debuting at sixteen was a dream and frankly, together with my partner Luigi, we didn’t hope to be able to win the title in the first season. In any case, we have given 110% every time.”
“In the end, the title arrived, thanks to the support of Vito. For 2023, I would like to continue with the GTs together with Luigi, with whom I get along very well. My dream is to become a factory driver, it won’t be easy and I’ll try with all of myself”.

Coluccio adds: “I started by chance and mostly for fun. At the age of four my father bought me a kart to go around “in” the house. Then, having the la Conca kart track just two kilometers away, we decided to go and try it. Which lasted until I was eight years old, when I started with the first regional and Italian competitions”.
“I achieved my best career results in 2018 with my first world podium (third) in OK. In 2021 I became Vice World Champion in Spain and in 2022 I made my debut in GT and my preference between Formula and Gt is definitely for the Gran Turismos. I honestly don’t know why, but that’s the way it is”.
“I certainly didn’t expect to win the title in my first year. It was a wonderful satisfaction, thanks to my partner Rocco, Easy Race and Vito. The idea was to gain experience, for this I have to thank Vito who has followed us since ‘start and continue to do so already in view of 2023 “.

Two terrible kids who will still be talked about, simple and always in their place like two professional drivers. As can be understood from their words, the “typical” path of the transition to Formula was not tackled due to budget problems which certainly clip the wings of many young drivers who switch to GT with excellent results.
It would be appropriate to also allow these drivers to be able to express their potential, perhaps through a contribution that is not currently provided for those who choose GT cars.
Some succeed, such as Fuoco and Marciello who carry the Italian flag high around the world. Write down Coluccio and Mazzola well, we will hear about them for a long time.
