As we get closer to the release of Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, the French company has been in charge of answering some of the questions that fans have about this game. One user in particular had a question that he just confused the public, since I wanted to know if a Ubisoft account will be required to access the titleand the answer wasn’t entirely clear originally.
Through Twitter, a user asked if a Ubisoft Connect account will be necessary to enjoy this sequel. Originally, the official support account of the French company noted that this will be the case. This is what he mentioned:
“In order to play Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope you will need to associate your Ubisoft account with your Nintendo account or, if you don’t have a Ubisoft account, create one. It won’t take long and believe me, it will be worth it!”
As expected, this was not to the liking of the fans, who did not like the idea of having to create a separate account to enjoy this installment. However, Ubisoft has issued another official statement, where it clarifies that you will not need to have a Ubisoft Connect profile to play Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. This was pointed out:
“A Ubisoft Connect account is not required for players to play Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, contrary to what was wrongly mentioned in a previous Ubisoft support tweet.”
In this way, it is clear that you can enjoy Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope just like you did with the original title. We remind you that This installment will arrive on the Nintendo Switch on October 20, 2022. In related topics, here you can see the new gameplay of this title. Similarly, Rayman will arrive as DLC to this installment in the future.
Editor’s note:
Creating a Ubisoft Connect account is not complicated. However, I also understand everyone who doesn’t want to use another profile, especially considering that when Bethesda implemented a similar idea with the DOOM games, more issues arose at the end of the day.
