A total of 3,463 people were evacuated from the flood-prone areas of South Gyeongsang, Busan and South Jeolla provinces in the path of the typhoon. In addition, almost 15,000 people were advised to evacuate, and more than 20,000 households suffered from power outages.

From Sunday to early Tuesday, the worst amount of rain accumulated was 948 millimeters in parts of South Korea’s southern Jeju Island. The South Korean Meteorological Agency urged people to continue to be cautious, as storm gusts and high waves are expected in coastal areas.
Hinnamnor is now predicted to continue its journey northeast towards Sapporo, Japan.
