The national taekwondo team will participate in the World Junior and Youth Championship, which will be held in Bulgaria from July 28 to August 4, with an official mission headed by Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federation, and Board members Abdullah Al Samahi, administrator of the men’s team, and Hanan Al Kathiri, administrator of the girls’ team. The mission includes 8 male and female players and 4 in the junior competitions: Jassem Al-Sabri (under 33 kg), Muhammad Khaled (under 37 kg), Fawzia Khaled (under 47 kg and Yasmine Samir, under 51 kg), and 4 in the youth category, Maryam Rashid, underweight 42 kg, Ali Muhammad, under 51 kg, Fatima Issa, under 52 kg, and Mishari Muhammad, under 55 kg, and the players will later participate in the Asian Junior and Youth Championships, which will be held in Vietnam from 23 to 28 August.
Ahmed Al Zeyoudi thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, Honorary President of the Taekwondo Federation for the unlimited support, which contributed to the outstanding development of the sport of Taekwondo, praising the efforts of club coaches in contributing to the development of the technical level of the players.
Al-Zeyoudi praised the preparations of the national team players and the determination and determination they have to provide distinguished technical levels that reflect the development of the sport of Taekwondo at the local and regional levels, stressing that participation in the World Championship is very important for the expected technical gains.
