Mexico.- The great internet boom and the arrival of social networks made new technologies indispensable in all areas, to such an extent that public institutions make use of them even on occasions when they shouldn’t. That was the case with the Secretary of National Defensethat posted on his Twitter account a badly “photoshopped” photo.
It was on the verified Twitter account of SEDENA, “@SEDENAmx”, where a photo was published in which four people appear: an element of the Mexican Army, two elements of the Baja California State Police and a woman, who would be the alleged responsible.
It is the typical image in which everyone is portrayed with their backs to the seized merchandise, which in this case were supposedly drugs, cartridges and a firearm. The problem started when the users of the social network, noticed the following irregularities:
One of the cops was badly trimmed, that is to say, he was missing a part of his arm; the depth between those who appear in the center of the photo is zero, so both people seem to have a green wall with the phrase “Mexican Army” on top, which apparently was also superimposed by Photoshop or another image editing program.
Accompanying the tweet is the following: “#Communiqué. #Mexican Army seizes fentanyl, heroin, cartridges and a firearm in Baja California.”
The reaction of dozens of users caused SEDENA to remove the post of his account, even so, there are those who captured him to keep it as evidence.

It is not the first time that SEDENA has been involved in controversy by making bad editions, let us remember that in June 2021 the institution reported the seizure of drugs costing 80 million dollars, however, they removed the Morena logo from a truck.
