One of the basic rights of workers in the Mexican formal sector is rest, translated into weekly rest days and annual vacation days. Under this understanding, the modification to the Federal Labor Law (LFT) approved at the end of 2022 has not been entirely favorable for some employees.
And, after the reform called “Decent vacations”, approved at the end of 2022 in the Mexican Congress of the Union, those workers who complete 5 years of seniority working for the same company or the same employer will see their vacation days stagnated until completing 11 years of work.

And, according to the Federal Labor Law in force to date, an employee who has Working for 5 years in the company you will have the right to 20 days of paid vacation plus the vacation bonus.
However, upon reaching 6 years and up to 10 years, vacation days stagnate for workers in the Mexican formal sector, having the right to only 22 days off from the working day.
The above means that, contrary to fewer years of seniority, when you reach 6 years working in the same company, the vacation days are limited to 22, and it is not until you complete 11 years working for the same company that the sum advances to 24 days of paid vacation.
