Audi will stop developing internal combustion engines in 2026, so it makes sense that new models from the brand with the four rings will increasingly be fully electric. And the fastest sports enthusiasts are no exception, as witnessed by the already available Audi RS E-Tron GT.
But there’s more. For example, the production version of the Audi A6 E-Tron Concept would be accompanied by an Avant derivative placed under the RS name. The roof of its five-door body would therefore be extended to make it a station wagon, in order to respect the RS6 tradition. An original concept, because at the moment the (slightly more rational) MG5 is the only fully electric station wagon on the market.
More than 600 hp
Like the Audi A6 E-Tron, whose production version is planned for 2023 (but which will initially coexist with the classic A6), the RS 6 E-Tron will logically be on the new PPE platform.
The powertrain will most likely be that of the Audi RS E-Tron GT, which means that the RS6 eE-Tron will be able to count on peak power and maximum torque of 646 hp and 830 Nm respectively. As an indication: the RS E-Tron GT thus achieves a top speed of 250 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds.
