In a car to which ABC has had access, the magistrate formally imputes these five etarrras crimes of terrorist murder and attack against the life of Gregorio Ordóñez, since “there are rational indications” that these investigated were part of the Executive Committee of ETA that He ordered the popular mayor to kill. The judge summons the defendants to appoint a lawyer to take a statement soon. This decision comes days after Jorge decided to call to declare one of the three material authors of the councilor, Valentín Lasarte, the Next February 17 at 10.30 am.
Ordonez was one of the most relevant political figures in the Basque Country in the 1990s. Deputy Mayor at the City of San Sebastián and president of the PP of Guipúzcoa, the mayor was notorious for his fight against the ETA terrorist band, which ended his life on January 23, 1995 in a bar in the Old part of San Sebastián.
Ordonez was a murder that inaugurated a new strategy that launched the organization to eliminate councilors from the Popular Party in the mid -1990s. The murder order was created in Bayonne (France), when José Javier Arizcuren Ruiz, ‘Kantauri’, meets in 1994 with Valentín Lasarte and orders him to attend two ‘released’ to carry out the attack. The three material authors, namely Francisco Javier Gaztelu, ‘Txapote’, and Juan Ramón Carasatorre Aldaz, ‘Zapata’ and Lasarte, were convicted in firm sentences.
Dignity and justice celebrates
The Dignity and Justice Association, which has been advocating for years because the leaders are applied to the doctrine of responsibility to respond for these crimes as intellectual authors, celebrates this decision.
