In celebration of World Mental Health Day, the Mohammed bin Rashid Library hosted a lecture entitled “The Impact of Ideas in Accelerating Psychological and Physical Recovery”, presented by Dr. Ahmed Emara, a mental health and bioenergy consultant, on the main library stage with a large participation of visitors and members.
In a welcoming speech, Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Mazrouei, Board Member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Foundation, said: “Over the past fifty years, the United Arab Emirates has attached great importance to mental health and care, and considered it an integral part of public health and one of the main pillars of its well-being. The community, its stability and the ability of its children to give and continue the development process, through the launch of many initiatives and strategies that clearly reflect this vision, including the national policy to promote mental health.” He added: “From this point of view, we sought, in the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, to provide many books, references, letters and university studies specialized in psychology and mental health, which play an important role in spreading societal awareness of the importance of mental health and its impact on the safety of the individual and spreading knowledge of life practices that contribute to In promoting mental health and preventing its negative effects, in addition to hosting many events, seminars and workshops that consolidate and support this vision.”
He concluded: “We are pleased to host Dr. Ahmed Emara, one of the most prominent specialists in education and awareness in the field of mental and mental health, and to strengthen awareness among many and achieve psychological care for them, especially young people.”
The lecture touched on the effect of ideas on the chemistry of the body, and from where do cells derive their energy? And how does the pharmacy stimulate the body with its full potential, and can a person live without diseases? Which witnessed great interaction and wide participation of members and visitors of different ages and nationalities.
Emara shed light on ideas how they affect the body and the extent of this impact, and the concepts that a person forms about things, in addition to talking about imagination and how a person can draw pictures in his imagination that parallel reality and how they affect positively or negatively on him, as well as talking about the impact of sounds on How does it affect people, positively or negatively?
At the end of the lecture, a shield of honor was presented to Dr. Emara by the management of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, and he was taken on an introductory tour of the library in the library’s relics department, where he expressed his thanks to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library and those responsible for their great efforts in spreading awareness of the importance of mental health. He praised the services, facilities and technologies of the library’s pioneering and its subsidiary libraries, and its unique role in stimulating the passion for knowledge and reading, and access through many distinctive and innovative events, seminars and workshops.
The library also organized an event on children’s mental health on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, in cooperation with the Lighthouse Center, where the first hour was devoted to children, through fun educational and recreational activities and innovative games, while the second hour focused on providing a lecture for parents, To shed light on the exacerbation of symptoms of anxiety and depression in young people and children, in addition to some physical health difficulties, and the need for early detection and intervention, with the aim of introducing the family to the symptoms of anxiety or depression, methods of correct diagnosis, and the difference between mental, psychological and physical problems.
