New simulator and wind tunnel
“If I have to choose a project, I choose ours”. Fernando Alonso last week it formalized its multi-year renewal with Aston Martin, which from 2026 will have the exclusive supply of Honda power units, engines that are making a significant contribution to Red Bull's dominance. The agreement with the Japanese company was not the only move by Lawrence Stroll, who spares no expense in his dream of reaching the top of F1.
The new headquarters inaugurated at Silverstone will also be equipped with a new wind tunnel and a new simulator, assets with which to attack the title. Pedro De La Rosa underlined all these aspects when commenting on the renewal of Fernando Alonso: “First of all, that Alonso will remain in F1 for a long time is great news for all fans – the words of the former driver now Aston Martin man reported by the Spanish newspaper Brand – Furthermore, the fact that Alonso decided to stay with us despite having alternatives shows how much he believes in our project, of which he knows every detail. Everything will be new, the wind tunnel, the simulator and many other things that people don't know about.”
According to De La Rosa, the driver market is destined to be busier towards 2026, a season for which Alonso has already 'booked' one of the most interesting projects, that of Aston Martin-Honda. “I don't expect much more movement after the move Hamilton-FerrariI think everything will remain as it is while there will be more 'changes' in view of 2026 when everything in F1 will change at a regulatory level” added De La Rosa..
