A Russian traveler visited Budapest and listed false facts about the city, which she did not find confirmation. The girl shared her observations on a personal blog on the platform “Yandex.Zen”.
First of all, according to the tourist, the idea that Budapest is the capital of fun, where you can find entertainment for every taste, is not true. “I do not share this opinion. Moreover, the city seemed to me quite quiet and calm, and life in it is measured and monotonous, I would even say boring, ”the girl dispelled the rumors.
According to her, there are many cafes and restaurants in the city, various cultural events are held, but the blogger did not notice the “unbridled fun”. “Budapest is beautiful and pleasant, but not the most fun in comparison with other, more vibrant cities in Europe,” she said.

Another stereotype is the opinion that the city is full of atypical monuments. The Russian woman noted that such a description is more suitable for Barcelona with numerous creations of Gaudi and the Vatican with the works of Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci. “In Budapest, the monuments are the most common,” said the author. “There is no doubt that all the sights are beautiful and unique, with their own special history, but, in my opinion, they are designed in the same style.”
In addition, the traveler added that before the trip she often heard that Budapest was credited with the status of the capital of erotica. According to the girl, such a conclusion is made by tourists who have never been to Amsterdam on the red-light district or in Paris in the Moulin Rouge cabaret area.
“In the center of the city there is a university, a library and other cultural institutions. Locals prefer to walk, ride bicycles and have fun swimming in thermal spas. I don’t know where tourists managed to see erotica to call Budapest the capital of erotica, ”she summed up.
Earlier in February, Hungary was one of the leading spring travel destinations for Russians. The Tez Tour company offers the most budgetary travel option – the cost of a weekly tour with double accommodation in a two-star hotel will cost 25.8 thousand rubles per person.
