British Ambassador Nigel Casey left the Russian Foreign Ministry building after being summoned, according to what was reported by the Russian “TASS” news agency.
Casey, who spent more than 30 minutes in the ministry, did not make any comment during his departure. The British ambassador did not respond to a question from TASS about the summons.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced, in a statement earlier today, Monday, the recall of the British ambassador to Moscow. The statement read: “The British ambassador was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry.” The ministry did not specify the reasons for summoning the ambassador.
