The mod in question is called RE2R Classic and was created by modder alphaZomega. It's possible download it for free from Nexus Mods.
For the nostalgic
Resident Evil 2 remake is an excellent title. Probably one of the best remakes ever. Despite this there are many nostalgic gods Resident Evil classics, who would therefore have appreciated maintaining the original game structure for the remakes of the second and third chapters. Where Capcom didn't arrive, a bottom-up project took over, quite respectable, to be honest.
RE2R Classic in fact, it boasts 1,700 fixed shots, directed by the modder trying as much as possible to remain faithful to the original game. The mod allows you to get to the end of the game while maintaining this style of play, so for some it will be an opportunity to replay it all from this new perspective.
Note that, as mentioned, the mod reproduces the tank controls, but if you want you can customize them to adapt them to a more modern style, if you really can't stand them.
