The Civil Defense of the municipality of Rio Grande do Sul also warned about the high risk of landslides, erosive processes and rolling of blocks in susceptible areas on Monday. According to the municipal body, landslides, slope failures and barrier falls may occur.
“The population residing in risk areas must observe any changes in the slopes. In case of signs of instability, residents should seek temporary shelter with relatives or friends, or use the shelter facilities provided by the city hall via 156”, said the agency.
