The Monitoring Committee of the LaLiga-RFEF Coordination Agreement, meeting this Saturday, has decided not to grant the prior visa or the definitive license requested by FC Barcelona for the players Mr. Daniel Olmo Carvajal and Mr. Pau Víctor as reported through a joint official statement.
In the meeting held this morning to address the request for a prior visa and processing of the federative licenses of the players Mr. Daniel Olmo Carvajal and Mr. Pau Víctor Delgado, made by FC Barcelona, the Monitoring Committee has decided to reject it based on the “literal interpretation” of articles 130.2 and 141.5 of the General Regulations of the RFEF, “which prevent a player whose license is canceled from being able, in the course of the same season, obtain a license in the same team of the club to which he was already linked.
After the requirements regarding LaLiga’s economic control have been met on January 3, 2025 by the FCB, and once the relevant documentation has been completed by the club, the LaLiga Budget Validation Body has resolved to extend the Cost Limit of FC Barcelona Sports Squad from the aforementioned date.
The last resort that Barça has left is to go to the Higher Sports Council to request the very precautionary measure.
