After throwing Jamrat al-Aqaba on Sunday morning, the Day of Sacrifice, pilgrims spend the night in Mina in preparation for throwing Jamarat during the days of Tashreeq.
At dawn today, pilgrims flocked to Wadi Mina, near Mecca, to throw stones at Jamarat al-Aqaba with seven pebbles they had collected in Muzdalifah, before heading to Mecca, where they performed the Tawaf al-Ifadah in the Grand Mosque.

Pilgrims throw stones at Jamarat Aqaba
On Saturday night, the pilgrims collected pebbles and spent the night in the plain of Muzdalifah, a few kilometers from Mina, after spending the day praying and reciting the Qur’an on Mount Arafat.
Amal Mahrous, 55 years old, who comes from Egypt, said, “This place shows us that we are all equal, and that there are no differences between Muslims in the world.”
As in the year 2023, more than 1.8 million pilgrims performed the rituals this year, including 1.6 million from outside the Kingdom, according to what the Saudi authorities announced yesterday, Saturday.
