A man has died and five people have been injured this Sunday in a multiple traffic accident occurred on the A-3, in Villarejo de Salvanés, a spokesperson for the Community of Madrid Emergencies 112 reported.
The accident occurred, for reasons that the Civil Traffic Guard is now investigating, at kilometer 49 of the highway, around 9:40 p.m. A truck and four passenger cars are involved.
The driver of one of the cars, a 53-year-old man, died with multiple trauma and after suffering cardiorespiratory arrest. Paramedics from 112 supported by Sescam of Castilla La Mancha have confirmed the death after performing advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers for 30 minutes.
Two seriously injured
A 53-year-old woman who was traveling in that same vehicle has been transferred to the 12 de Octubre Hospital as potentially serious.
A 43-year-old man who was traveling in another of the passenger cars involved is also in potentially serious condition and has been transferred to the Gregorio Marañón Hospital, after having been freed from the damaged vehicle by Firefighters of the Community of Madrid.
Three other people who were in other vehicles have been transferred to the Arganda Hospital with a mild prognosis.
