According to Motorsport.com, the company that owns the MotoGP rights has had several meetings with the most important teams to try to motivate them to create a special livery for the 75th anniversary of the top class of the MotoGP.
The Spanish company suggests that the special coloring on the prototypes is “vintage” and that its appearance is limited to just one race, most likely the Dutch Grand Prix, scheduled for the weekend of June 28-30.
Dorna had initially considered the possibility of such a specific action taking place during the Kazakhstan Grand Prix, as it had initially been scheduled for 16 June, the date closest to the 75th anniversary of the first World Championship race in history. . The 350cc race in question took place on the Isle of Man on 13 June 1949 and was won by British rider Freddie Frith.
However, the doubts surrounding the event at the Sokol circuit, which last week was postponed to a later date – there is no confirmed date yet – and the uncertainty about the reception the event would receive in Kazakhstan , have made it advisable to look for an alternative. It seems that it will be an iconic track like the “Cathedral” that will see the special decorations on the bikes.
There are grid teams that are absolutely committed to this idea, while others have asked for some time to think about it, although they will probably all end up joining.
In any case, this will be one of the events that the organizer of the MotoGP World Championship has scheduled throughout the season. In addition to creating a special logo for the occasion, the first premier class race, again on the Isle of Man, on 17 June 1949 will also be commemorated.
Over the last three-quarters of a century, the championship has produced a total of 126 world champions, across all classes, while the country with the most Grands Prix wins is the largest.
the country with the highest number of Grand Prix victories is Italy (890), followed by Spain (729).

In 2008, coinciding with Repsol’s 40th anniversary in the World Championship, Dani Pedrosa drove a white-painted Honda with the emblematic “R” on the fairing, the first logo used by Repsol in competitions, an initiative that was very successful at the time and suggests that seeing the entire grill with period decorations could be a great sight.
