In the 2024 the updated version of the Mazda MX-5which probably represents thelast restyling of the fourth generation of Miata. This version precedes the arrival of the fifth generationwhich introduces innovative traction with a Wankel rotary engine which generates energy for the electrical unit, similar to the MX-30 R-EV. The 2024 version, for now, focuses on improvements in safety, technology, aesthetics and offers new color options for the body and soft top.
Mazda MX-5 2024, what changes
The 2024 Mazda MX-5 Model Year is available as both Soft Top with manual canvas top which as RF (Retractable Fastback) with electrically operated hard top. Outside, it features exterior improvements, such as LED headlights advanced that integrate seamlessly with the daytime running lights to improve visibility, as well as slightly redesigned rear lights with the use of LEDs for all lights.
This version combines tradition and modern aesthetics, introducing the new color Aero Gray Metallic for the bodywork and a colour beige for the hood.
Inside the passenger compartment, the seats are covered with a new material which prevents slipping during sporty driving.
Other improvements include a frameless rearview mirror, a larger 8.8-inch multimedia display with additional infotainment features, an updated instrument cluster and two doors USB-C.
Engines and performance
The 2024 Model Year Mazda MX-5 is available with two engine options 132 HP Skyactiv-G And 184 HP, associated with the 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox (the 6AT only with the RF Kazari 2.0l version). Thanks to the car’s low weight and i-stop and i-ELOOP technologies, the performance is noteworthy.
The basic version, with the 1.5-liter engine and 132 hp, can accelerate 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 secondsreaching a maximum speed of 204 km/hwith an average WLTP fuel consumption of 6.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 142 g/km, according to the WLTP approval procedure.
The MX-5 also introduces a driving mode Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)-Track which only intervenes in dangerous skidding situations.
The car is also equipped with a asymmetric LSD limited slip differential (available only in the 2.0L version) to improve cornering stability, making driving safer and more fun, especially on winding roads and on the track.
New ADAS on the MX-5
The 2024 MX-5 has implemented additional safety features with new features ADAS. Starting from the basic version, First Linethere is lane keeping assist, intelligent cruise control, intelligent braking support and updated traffic sign recognition, now linked to the navigation system.

Prices for the 2024 Mazda MX-5 start at as low as 32,400 euros for the version 1.5 liter Skyactiv-G with 132 HP in Prime Line configuration, up to a maximum of 41,250 Euros for the Homura version with the 184 HP 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine. For the RF (Retractable Fastback) body with electrically operated hard top, there is a surcharge of 2,500 Euros.
