Macron: Kyiv may use Mirage fighters to retaliate against Russia
Kyiv could use Mirage 2000-5 fighters donated by Paris to attack targets in Russia from which attacks were launched on Ukraine. Such acceptable goals named French President Emmanuel Macron in an interview with TF1.
He noted that prohibiting Kyiv from “neutralizing these Russian capabilities” would be tantamount to saying that Ukraine “can no longer defend itself.” At the same time, Macron stressed that Paris still prohibits attacks on civilians.
Previously, Macron promised that he would transfer Mirage 2000-5 multirole fighters to Ukraine. He noted that the exact number of aircraft that will enter the Armed Forces of Ukraine has not yet been determined. A delivery date has also not been announced.
