It seems that the time has come to make some space inside the garage of Kimi Raikkonen. The now former Formula 1 driver has in fact put one of his racing cars up for sale, a Ferrari F12 TDF, an exclusive car with unique performances that is ready to change owner, with the lucky and wealthy collector who will buy it who can boast of being able to get behind the wheel of a supercar driven by a Formula 1 world champion.
The example belonging to the Finnish was put up for sale by the CarStar luxury car dealership in Freienbach, Switzerland. Kimi Raikkonen’s Ferrari F12 TDF is finished with a special livery inspired by the coloring of the Cavallino car with which Ice Man became F1 world champion in 2007. Other customizations also stand out on the bodywork, such as the number 7 on the roof. The Ferrari F12 TDF is an evolution of the F12Berlinetta, presented in 2015, and is equipped with the 6.3-liter V12 engine of the traditional variant, however, increased to 780 hp and 705 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 338 km / h. The power However, it is not the only difference with the standard F12Berlinetta: compared to the base model, the Ferrari F12tdf has a double improved aerodynamic coefficient, thanks to the help of the specific front splitter and to a different configuration of the rear wing, set back by 60 mm and raised by 30 mm. The Maranello car manufacturer only produced 799 units to celebrate the Tour de France Automobile, one of the endurance races that saw the Cavallino as protagonist with the 250 between 1956 and 1964.
Ferrari and Kimi Raikkonen remained inextricably linked, even after the Finnish driver’s retirement at the end of last Formula 1 season. World champion with the Cavallino team in 2007, Ice Man undoubtedly lived his best seasons at the wheel of the Red. However, the bond between Kimi and the Italian brand did not end on the track, with Raikkonen still owning several road Ferraris, including a 488 and precisely the F12 TDF which he put on sale at a Swiss dealer. We do not know the reasons for its decision but we are sure that anyone who buys it will be happy to show it off on the street.
