• The parents and two young sons reached safety after getting out of the car, but Jayden was lost under the water and not found.
Stephanie, a member of the Lebanese community in Australia, said the boy’s parents managed to escape the floods.
In a connection with “Sky News Arabia”, he indicated that the father of the child, Joseph Al-Jar, and his wife, Pam Hadchiti, are from the northern Bekaa region in Lebanon, and that they were in the car with the three children.
He added: “The family was able to cling to the trees, screaming for help, while the car was sinking in the water with Jayden in it.”
The young man indicated that the mother posted on social media platforms only a few hours before the accident, a video showing the family’s day at the zoo, and described herself as “the mother of three angels.”
Stephanie concluded his comments by saying: “Police divers found Jayden’s body on Saturday evening after they found the car submerged.”
