The PS5 game with the highest user rating average of 2024 on Metacritic, Stellar Blade was therefore welcomed with great enthusiasm also in the Japanese market, during a week in which there was no shortage of new entries.
In fact, they appear in the top 10 also Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes in second position, Endless Ocean Luminous in third position, SaGa Emerald Beyond in sixth position and the latest tie-in of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the Sweep the Board! boardgame, in seventh position.
The hardware ranking
As anticipated, Stellar Blade’s success boosted PS5 saleswhich in the week from 22 April to 5 May sold around 43,000 units compared to over 72,000 for the OLED model Nintendo Switch, which remains firmly in command of the hardware rankings.
