The electric suv Jaguar I-Pace got a technological update regarding the cockpit. Indeed the vehicle of the British brand has achieved integration with Amazon Alexa. The system will allow the driver and passengers to manage navigation, music playback, their calendars, listen to the latest news, check weather conditions and home smart devices simply with a voice request.
Jaguar I-Pace will be the brand’s first vehicle to feature Amazon Alexa voice control. The latter will offer a natural voice interaction with some features of the Pivi Pro system, including navigation, multimedia playback, phone calls and integration with compatible smart devices. After launching on the I-Pace, all new Jaguar models will be equipped with Alexa. Requests such as “Alexa take me home”, “Alexa play my playlist” and “Alexa show me nearby bars” can be done by voice.
Current owners of I-Pace with Pivi Pro models are among the 55,000 Jaguar customers who will be offered the option of having Alexa in their car. On the vehicle’s touchscreen, they will receive a notification message through which they can perform the SOTA update (Software Over The Air). The integration will even allow you to manage some compatible home features, such as heating and lighting. For example, just ask: “Alexa, set the living room temperature to 20 degrees”.
At the same time, Jaguar launched the new one Premium Black Pack, which gives the car a different external appearance in some details. The Premium Black Pack features a Gloss Black finish for the grille, grille surround, side window edges, rear mirror caps and rear badges. In addition, new 22-inch double-spoke “Style 5056” wheels with Gloss Black finish, a rear spoiler and air suspension are also part of the equipment. In the end, for the first time, the model will also be available in Ostuni White color.
