The jury of the “Nassiriya International Peace Prize“2022 edition awarded the coveted recognition to the journalist and communicator Klaus Davi with this motivation: “Journalist, author of numerous inquiries concerning organized crime in Calabria. He has never kept silent about inconvenient information and has always spread the culture of legality and justice, representing a true example for the younger generations. For affirming the value of legality and free information in a context with a strong criminal presence “.
The awards ceremony will be held on11 November at 10:30 in the amphitheater of Sanctuary of the Annunciation of Camerota (SA) and will be chaired by the president Dr. Vincenzo Rubano of the ELAIA association. Klaus Davi to an investigation carried out for Mediaset on Italia Uno with the first interviews ever released by bosses Pino Piromalli “Facciazza” and Nino Imerti “Nano Feroce” (in collaboration with Alessio Fusco).
Klaus Davias well as with Mediaset, ccollaborates with numerous publications such as Gazzetta del Sud, La Notizia Giornale, Affaritaliani. He is the owner of a prestigious communications agency, but he never wanted to leave journalism.
His professional beginnings date back to 1987 in L’Unità, then directed by Gerardo Chiaromonte, only to be hired by Corriere della Sera with a fixed-term contract for the pages of the University. He then chose the free profession.
He recently made a scoop by interviewing the repentant Filippo Barreca who retracted his previous depositions on the murder of his brother Vincenzo, exonerating the killer in prison for 20 years, according to him “unfairly”.
