Since 2015 the Nerazzurri have grabbed a substantial booty against the Bianconeri men: ten wins against a draw and a defeat
Simone Inzaghi looks up and sees Milan and Napoli seven points away. The calendar will oblige Inter to face the two top teams one after the other, with the derby on 7 November and the challenge against the Neapolitans on 21. In the middle, a stop for the national teams. But before the derby – and the away match against Sheriff, scheduled for Wednesday at 21 – the Nerazzurri host Udinese: the goal is clearly the three points, with the hope perhaps of shortening the rivals in the lead.
THE RESULTS
–
Against Empoli came a good response after the draw against Juventus: Danilo D’Ambrosio and Federico Dimarco drowned out the Tuscans, ten left in the opening of the second half for the red to Samuele Ricci. There are 21 points in the standings for Inter: the same performance as last season at this point in the championship. For Udinese, on the other hand, the draws have become a constant: three 1-1 consecutive (against Bologna, Atalanta and Udinese) for Luca Gotti’s men, who previously had drawn 3-3 on the Sampdoria field. Before these four Xs – they have not reached five in a row since February 1983 – the Friulians had lost three consecutive games: the last victory was dated 12 September, 1-0 at La Spezia.
THE BUDGET
–
In the last seven league games between Inter and Udinese, the Nerazzurri have conceded only one goal. And since 2015 there have been ten victories, with two draws and only one defeat: only against Genoa did Inter have more successes (11) in the period considered. In addition to this, there is the excellent internal performance of the Nerazzurri to cause Gotti to worry: the Italian champions have scored at San Siro for 24 consecutive games. Attention also to the results obtained by Simone Inzaghi against the Friulians: eight wins, one draw and one defeat. Against no team, faced at least 10 times in Serie A, the former Lazio coach has done better.
