In the short video clip, the masked man threatened to assassinate the Queen of Britain.
The man, disguised in a white mask, dressed in black, and carrying a bow and arrows, spoke to the camera in a manipulated voice.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “I’m sorry for what I’ve done and what I’m going to do. I’m going to try to assassinate Queen Elizabeth.”
He stated that what he did was to avenge those who were killed in the Amritsar massacre that took place in India in 1919, when it was under British rule, and considered one of the worst atrocities committed during the colonial rule.
He said he avenged those who were killed, humiliated, or victims of racial discrimination because of their race.
In the same video, the man said he was a Sikh from India and his name was Jaswant Singh Chail, referring to another name he has, Darth Jones.
He seemed to be influenced by the movie “Star Wars”, as he wore a mask made famous in the movie.
British police said they are aware of the videotape and are working to analyze it.
The British authorities detained Child under the Mental Health Act, after he was arrested by the guards of Windsor Castle, which is located in the Berkshire county near London, which is known as the Royal Estate because it hosts the headquarters of the ruling family in Britain.
According to the castle guards, the 19-year-old man tried to cross a barbed wire fence with a bow and arrows, but he did not reach any of its buildings and was within 500 meters of the suite where the Queen resides.
Police said: “The man has been placed in custody and is undergoing a mental health assessment. He has since been designated under the Mental Health Act and remains under the care of medical professionals.”
The video was sent to Child’s friends on Snapchat, 24 minutes before his arrest at the palace.
